Men an Tol
A series of new oil and acrylic paintings on handmade gesso and wood panels (recently showing in Newlyn Art Gallery) featuring characters from Cornish Folklore, my life, plants, and Cornish landmarks. This is a medium work 20x30 cm of the Mên-an-Tol, a small formation of standing stones in Cornwall, believed to belong to the Bronze Age, thereby making it around 3,500 years old.. The Men-an-Tol has a wealth of folklore, it is renowned for curing many ailments and for helping women get pregnant.
